
Paul Soltoff, CEO
Paul is a pioneer in the convergence and integration of traditional and new media. Paul is widely recognized for his in-depth expertise in all aspects of traditional direct marketing and Interactive advertising.
Prior to founding acquirgy, he was co-founder and executive vice president of the program-length TV direct response division of Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide. He was also a founding partner of one of the first Internet agencies, Impower, which was a division of American List Counsel. Throughout his career, Paul has been a senior strategic advisor to Fortune 500 companies such as Real Networks, GE, TiVo, Intuit and dozens of other global brands. Paul is sought out as a recognized speaker and publisher regularly across the DR industry. He has been a contributing columnist for DM News, Jupitermedia Corp.'s ClickZ online magazine, Electronic Retailer, Multi-Channel News and other trade and business publications.
Paul has co-authored six books on the subject of selling, direct mail, telemarketing and e-mail.
Steven Morvay, President
Steven is responsible for the delivery of outstanding service and results of every client we serve.
Steven has more than 25 years of experience on both the client and agency sides of the business. He started his career at Ogilvy & Mather servicing such clients as General Foods, Procter & Gamble and TWA for North America and Europe.
He moved into direct marketing as SVP of Ogilvy & Mather Direct and President of Saatchi & Saatchi Direct North America. As SVP of Marketing at retailer Waldenbooks, the group under his control successfully conceived, positioned, designed and launched the Super Store division, which is now Borders Books and Music. His group was also responsible for the company’s 3 million frequent buyer program members and launching the first database driven marketing effort directly to retail customers in the book industry. As President of Collier Newfield Inc., an International direct marketer of children’s book clubs and continuity card programs, he executed a major turn-around of the company including the introduction of both e-commerce and DRTV distribution channels.
Donald Gould, CFO
Donald has primary responsibility for the financial management of the company including oversight of all human resource, legal and corporate governance aspects of acquirgy
Donald joined acquirgy in 2000 from VitalCast where he served as chief financial officer and vice president of Business Development. Before joining VitalCast, he was vice president of finance and chief financial officer of HealthPlan Services, Inc. where he completed four acquisitions with a combined market value of over $250 million and grew the company from $100 million to $300 million in revenue. Prior to that, he served as a managing director of Geneva Capital Markets providing mergers and acquisitions consulting services to $5 to $60 million companies. Donald began his career with Arthur Andersen (Atlanta) in their tax division, specializing in corporate and estate work.
Irv Brechner, EVP
Irv has been a direct marketer for his entire career, and pioneered online customer acquisition in the mid 90’s.
In his current role in business development, he works with marketers that are looking to generate leads, acquire customers, build databases and web traffic, using a wide range of online and offline tactics. He has a deep understanding of the right balance between technology and human capital, the relationship between offline media and online activity, and how search can be materially impacted by offline media such as direct mail, TV and radio
Harry Greene, EVP - Production
A founding partner in acquirgy, Harry brings more than 30 years of direct marketing and television production experience to the organization.
Prior to joining acquirgy, Harry held multiple positions as an Executive Producer, Writer and Director, creating programs, commercials, and infomercials for clients such as the American Egg Board, the Food Network, ESPN, TiVo, RealNetworks, and Hoveround among others.
Kristina Williams, VP - Operations
Kristina joined acquirgy in 2001 from West Direct where she managed account teams for the Interactive Voice Response division. She managed clients such as Phillip Morris, RJ Reynolds, CitiBank and GlaxoSmithKine.
Cynthia Tully, VP, Account Director
Cynthia is the VP, Account Director responsible for all accounts run out of acquirgy’s New York office. In her career, Cynthia has been responsible for developing and managing powerful direct response, online, offline, multimedia and traditional advertising campaigns for consumer-driven and business to business organizations.
At acquirgy, Cynthia supervises some of our largest and most complex online clients, encompassing online and offline channels.
Prior to joining acquirgy, Cynthia was an Account Director at Grey Interactive managing numerous clients including, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks, ADT Security, Mattel and Masterfoods (Mars Inc.).
Linda Chaney, SVP, Business Development
Linda has over 20 years of multi-channel marketing experience including 10 years in DRTV as senior management with HSN. She also owned her own product development and marketing firm working with Tony Little, Big Red Boat, Lake Buena Vista Resorts, Thomas Nelson Publishing, Michael Anthony Jewelers and more.
While at HSN, she pioneered direct response programs with international brands like Maxwell House coffee, Sara Lee, Amtrak, NY Times Magazine Group, Time Warner and all major credit cards that were acclaimed in the Wall Street Journal and numerous trade journals.
Paula Pirone, VP, SEM Business Development
Paula is an award-winning marketing professional with more than 15 years of advertising experience with mixed media, including the development and management of Fortune 500 corporations.
Prior to joining acquirgy, Paula owned her own company which was one of the largest resellers of mobile communications in the Southeast as well as her own SMS mobile advertising company. Paula managed numerous clients including the NFL, AT&T IBS, Hotels.com, Dardin, EAS, Embarq, State Farm, Walgreens, Radio Shack and Mitsubishi.
